Open Type Fonts

We recently upgraded to Mac OSX 10.4.7 and Creator 7.0.5. However when
attempting to load any Open Type fonts on our system we suddenly can not
export eps or pdf files. An error message "The Apple Event wasn't handled"
comes up every time, regardless of what eps export settings are used.

Has anyone else ran into this problem? Is there a fix?
