Apparently my problem was the preference "convert RGB to CMYK"
Jay with Multi-Ad called me and suggested this.
I turned off the pref and everything processed just fine.

I don't really know why we use DCS 2 other than IT dept said to do so about
6 years ago...
I don't even really know what DCS 2 is ...
Any reasons why I shouldn't use it??
