Intel MAC crashing with EXC_BAD_ACCESS errors

Hello all,

While searching the last couple of year's worth of emails on the list, I
found a comment by Steve Mills that deciphering a crash log of C7
running under Rosetta can be difficult.

I've gotten two crashes now since I installed C7 on a new MAC today.
Each time it is an Exception of EXC_BAD_ACCESS, the first time with a
code of KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS, and the second with a code of
KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE.

I can't remember what I was doing the first time, but this past time I
was running the Font script 'Display All TypeFaces'. I was able to get
a successful list of fonts earlier today with this script.

MacPro dual Xeons, 2 gigs RAM
OSX 10.4.9
C7.0.6
Font Reserve Client 1.7.6 installed, but no fonts loaded.
All fonts are back in the System -> Library -> Fonts folder, but I've
turned off the International ones with Font Book. (I was trying to
remove the international ones, clean the font caches, and reboot - but
decided to try this instead).

[Update]
I have rerun the script four more times, each time it crashes C7 at a
different font, with either of the two codes I mentioned above. I
rebooted without any success.

Being somewhat new to OSX but not a newbie, what would you advise I do
to troubleshoot?

I haven't yet read any of the emails on the list about C8 - is it stable?

thanks in advance,
