Thanks Steve.

I used a third party utility called Tiger Cache Cleaner to clean the 
font caches.  Medium Cleaning with Local and System Cache.  Let's see.. 
Yup that folder is trashed this way, and the utility prompts a reboot.

I installed C8 from our MultiAd supplied CD and immediately updated with 
th 8.0.1 update.  I'll do it again.. Display All Typefaces is not 
installed with our installer - the 4 scripts in Fonts Suite are dated 
9/15/2006.  Now the C8.0.1 updater - two scripts are added to the Fonts 
Suite folder, 'Display All Typefaces' and 'Try Every Font' and all 
scripts are dated 1/9/2007.
