I've used Creator to create brochures, booklets, newspapers, forms,
charts, ads, directories, flyers, invitations, postcards, greeting
cards, labels, envelopes... I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I
haven't done any books, but I've used it for multipage work anywhere
from 2-sided jobs to directories and complete newspapers. The Page
Manager allows you to assign master spreads to any page and also
assign a name to any page. The naming feature is great because if you
are working on, for instance, a 48 page document you don't want to go
to the page pop up menu and just see page 1, page 2, page 3... page
46, page 47, page 48, and then try and guess which page the copy that
you want to go back and edit is on. You can give each page a name,
whether it be a chapter number, or brief description of what is on
the page, or whatever you want, and then when you need to go back to
a specific page you can easily find it.
I enjoy working in Creator. It is very powerful, yet very user
friendly. And as previously mentioned, the Creator Team helps us out
whenever they can, and they listen to our suggestions, ideas, and
complaints, and then tweak the program accordingly with each upgrade.
They are really super!
FWIW I've been a Creator user since the early days, when it was just
a single document ad creation program. Even then, I used it for a lot
more than just creating ads.
Hope that was helpful.
