If it was just saving I'd ask these 3 questions:

What's in the doc?

What's the size of the file when it's all done saving?

Is the pref to save a fullsize preview on or off?

But on close? Then I'd ask this question:

Do you have any attached scripts with "closing" or "closed" handlers?
