Not true. The V of Freestyle Script Medium shows the pointy thing at  
all point sizes. The pointy things are caused by paths crossing over  
themselves when being outset. Odd things happen in these cases. You're  
better off starting with a bold or heavy version of the font, rather  
than thickening up a medium version. I don't know if there is a Bold  
version of Freestyle Script - I don't see one in my Adobe library.
