Unicode support started in 6.0 and has been extended to more areas of  
the application with every release. "takes full advantage of the  
Unicode features in OS X" is pretty vague. Got a specific question?

BTW, Creator's pdf output does not support all Unicode glyphs in all  
fonts yet.
