Yes, but not in apps like Creator or Apple apps like TextEdit or any  
app that uses Apple's text editor technology like iWeb. Are you using  
old versions of those apps? If not, then they went to the trouble of  
creating tables to convert the ASCII keystrokes to the old glyph  
equivalents for at least that dingbat font.
