It boils down to the old way of doing things vs. the new way. For all  
you people who use Zapf Dingbats and other such fonts on a daily basis  
that know the keystrokes to produce certain glyphs by heart, please  
submit feature requests. The more noise you make, the better the  
chance that we'll add a workaround for doing it the old way.
