Creator doesn't like OSX Times.dfont periods?

Hi all,

A user just brought this to my attention.

First,
OSX 10.4.11 on Intel MACs
C7.0.6 OR C8.0.2

We use the OS's Times so we don't have to mess with the System -> Fonts 
folder.  It seems that periods are not printing properly, and they look 
funny onscreen as well.  Can anyone verify for me at their site?

type a web address
zoom in
the period appears to have a small slice off the right hand side
print the document to a printer or PDF
all periods are shifted to the right
Export a PDF, it looks fine
