Problem with osx

We have run into a problem. When we have an ad open and make changes to it and then do a save as if you click a file name in the window ad name will take on this name.

What happened is we had a full page ad done and the operator opened up a 2x3 ad made changes to it the did a save as and by mistake clicked on the full page ad in the window and the 2x3 now was saved over the full page ad with the full page ads name.

Is there a way that this can be fixed?
