Strange saving problem

We're getting some sort of save error from one machine in particular. 
The Computer is a Dual G4 Power PC running OSX 10.5 saving over 
networked Snap Server 110 hardrive. You can start a new file, save, make 
changes and then try to save again and we get a "Directory not found. 
The file was last opened by (the computer that currently has the file 
open)." Similarly, if you open an existing file, make a change and then 
try saving, same scenario.

Is this the OS, some network problem, or some problem with file lock?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
