Strange saving problem

Yeah - We've got a workaround too, but it also has it's drawbacks (i.e.
human error!). We save to the desktop, then drag the file over the old
one and replace. The problem is that if the designer forgets to do this
step, we have an incorrect ad on the server that other designers might
not catch when doing corrections / OKs.

We've had a few hiccups using this Snap Server. It's great because you
don't have the usual problems of a traditional computer server - The
need to restart from time to time or unexplained sluggishness, but that
is offset by the occasional OS upgrade that makes files with usually
acceptable file name characters ( /, -, *) no longer valid, and the fact
that it is not indexed and searches that used to take 3 - 10 seconds can
now take up to 3 - 10 minutes.

Don't you love technology? Then again, where would we be without it!

Our work around has been to use a script to do a save as to a local folder, then copy the file back to it's original location. Lastly it quits Creator, which seems to cure that behavior for a while. So when a user gets that dialog box they click OK, then select save from the script menu rather than the file menu. No elegant, but it gets the job done.
