We're running OS 10.3.9 and OS 10.4.11 and Creator 6.8.5 have the same
issue but it is only file names if you accidentally click on a folder
the file name will not change we try to take extra caution when doing
save or save as that we don't click on any files when navigating to
where we want to save, and try to remember to check file name before we
hit the ok button I know this is not a solution just an observation.
Also notice that on my laptop it is even easier to change the file name
this way I'm thinking it is a mouse over problem with the OS
